The
Martial Arts Studio is an established school (over 20 years) located in Forest Hills, NY.
This
is a school which allows
the opportunity to develop in a friendly, fun, professional, and safe
environment. We offer a wide variety of self-defense
systems. Our students learn Goshin Jujitsu (Japanese
Grappling). We also offer Kajukenbo training which is a very
practical form of martial art. Students interested in weapon
skills can learn our Kali system (Filipino Stick and Knife
Style). Benefits include: Confidence,
Fighting ability, Physical Fitness, Discipline, and Stress
Reduction.
We
offer classes based on age & skill level. Pee-Wee students are
age 5-7, Juniors 8-13, Adult classes start at 14 years old . The lessons are further divided into
Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced (for more info click here). The same principle
applies to the Adult
program. Students of TMAS
benefit by our systematic teaching approach. There is a set curriculum for promotion. Students start with
fundamental techniques. As a student progresses, the movements
become more sophisticated. The lessons aren't
random. The curriculum helps the students understand
exactly what is required.
